Every growing or new congregation needs a shepherd. Recently, three new pastors have come to the Northwest. The North Pacific Union Conference Hispanic department welcomes these pastors and their families to the joys of service.
Ricardo Cabero, pastor for the Alaska Conference, has been a ministerial secretary and evangelist for two conferences and three unions in the South American Division. He has taught biblical theology at Brazil Adventist University as well as applied theology for the Latin-American Adventist Theological Seminary (post-graduate level). He has served as a pastor and evangelist in the Texico and Kansas-Nebraska conferences. His wife, Elena, accompanies him in his ministry, and they have three children—Ricardo, Rolando and Michael.
Roger Hernandez was born in Cuba. Since his father and two uncles are pastors, he had a close look at the ministry and was later called by God. He is married to Katherine, a teacher with a master's in youth ministry. They have two children—Vanessa, 7, and Jonathan, 5. He worked in the Potomac Conference for 10 years, where he was privileged to plant and be the pastor of six churches. Then he accepted a call to work in Oregon at the Hillsboro Spanish Church. His passions in ministry are small groups, planting churches and relevant worship. Katherine has a passion for teens and has dedicated her life to reaching and developing teen leaders. God has blessed their ministry, and they praise God for all He is doing in the Hillsboro Church.
David Paczka Adame was born in Mexico City. He studied at the University of Montemorelos and obtained his degree in theology in 1994. He married Maricela Perez in 1993 and has two children—Alex, 5, and Alan, 2.
He started his ministry in 1994 in Mexico City in the Moctezuma, Villa Coapa, Mixcoac and Narvarte districts.
He received an invitation in 2001 to work in the Upper Columbia Conference, where he pastors the Moses Lake, Othello and Pasco Hispanic churches.
Ricardo Cabero is the pastor of the Anchorage Spanish and Kodiak churches.
