Two new editors joined the Pacific Press product development team in June.
Thomas “Tomm” Lemon II was named associate editor of trade books and acquisitions, and Sebastián López-Esteban was named editor for international publications as well as editor for El Centinela and Revista Adventista. Both editors bring a rich pastoral experience to their new responsibilities.
Tomm Lemon
Lemon graduated with honors from Southwestern Adventist University with bachelor's degrees in theology and broadcasting. He also received a master of divinity with a New Testament emphasis from Andrews University Theological Seminary.
He worked as an editor for Fernando Canale, theology and philosophy professor, while a student at Andrews University. Lemon then served as a pastor in Idaho Conference for 21 years.
He brings extensive experience from having served rural and urban churches, as well as a multicultural, largely immigrant church, which gives him an important perspective for serving the publishing work of the Adventist Church in North America. He and his wife, Michelle, have three children.
Sebastián López-Esteban
López-Esteban is a native of Spain. He attended Colegio Adventista de Sagunto and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in theology from Universidad Adventista del Plata in Argentina.
He taught Bible classes for the nursing program and the secondary school in Argentina before returning to Spain to serve as a pastor in various churches for 9 years. He returned to school, earned a graduate degree in labor relations and human resources, and subsequently worked in the corporate world for two years before moving to the U.S. and returning to pastoral ministry.
He served in Texas Conference as a literature evangelist for a year, and then served as a church planter, pastor and pastoral area coordinator for 12 years in the Spanish-speaking community.
While serving as a pastor, he graduated with a master's in pastoral ministry from Andrews University. He has also pursued graduate studies at Faculté Protestante de Théologie in Montpellier, France.
López-Esteban speaks English, Spanish and French. He and his wife, Vivian, have three children.
