In response to growing demand for more children’s Bible study resources, It Is Written has officially launched My Place With Jesus Early Learner Bible Guides. Designed specifically for younger learners, this new series adapts the core scripture lessons of the original guides into a simple, engaging format tailored for children ages 4 to 6.
For almost 10 years, the original My Place With Jesus Bible Guides have served children ages 7 to 12. Responses from parents, pastors and educators using programs like Buried Treasure and the Flight 3:16 Vacation Bible School highlighted a growing demand for age-appropriate materials for younger children. The new Early Learner Bible Guides set was created to mirror the primary guides topic-for-topic, allowing families and groups to study the exact same biblical concepts together across different learning levels. The set of 21 guides includes topics such as the Bible, God and Jesus, creation, sin and salvation, prayer, God’s law, Jesus’ Second Coming and more.
“Salvation isn't complex,” said Melissa Bradshaw, It Is Written children’s ministries director, in reference to Mark 10:14–15. “The theme of salvation has to be easy enough for a little child to understand. And that was the task of Early Learner Bible Guides, to boil down the basics into a way that answers the questions of little inquiring minds.”
Each study guide contains three main questions and activities that reinforce the topic, making it short and easy to understand for young learners. “This is a fantastic set of studies. I wish we'd had them when my children were young,” said John Bradshaw, It Is Written president. “To be able to engage little ones in a genuine Bible learning experience is special. This is a wonderful tool that should be in the toolbox of every family."
