Pacific Press Produces Sharing Book for NAD's 'All Things New' Initiative

By Sherly Rothgeb, September 02, 2026

Pacific Press Publishing Association is honored to partner with North American Division in its All Things New initiative, a year-long initiative leading to the September 2027 global movement OneVoice27 backed by the General Conference.

As part of this year-long emphasis, Pacific Press will produce a special sharing book featuring nine chapters from Ellen G. White’s The Desire of Ages. NAD hopes to distribute 5 million copies throughout its territory, giving Adventists opportunities to share the story of Jesus with friends, neighbors, coworkers and community members.

For Pacific Press, this project represents more than a publishing initiative. It's an opportunity to use the ministry of publishing to place a Christ-centered resource directly into the hands of millions of people.

“We are honored to be entrusted with producing a resource that will support the Church’s mission on such a significant scale. Every book placed in someone’s hands represents an opportunity for connection, conversation and an encounter with Jesus," said Dale Galusha, Pacific Press president.

A cornerstone of All Things New is an invitation for members to read or reread The Desire of Ages as they prepare to share Christ with others.

The initiative offers three reading plans to help members journey through the book together:

  • Read five pages a day: Starts Sept. 5, 2026 [Download PDF Guide]
  • Read a chapter a day: Starts Sept. 5, 2026 [Download PDF Guide]
  • Read a chapter a day: Starts Jan. 1, 2027 [Download PDF Guide]

The goal is not simply to complete a book, but also to spend intentional time reflecting on the life, character, compassion and ministry of Jesus. As members encounter Christ through The Desire of Ages, they are encouraged to share what they have discovered with the people around them.

The 5-million-copy goal reflects the broader vision of All Things New: to move beyond a program or campaign and create meaningful opportunities for people to encounter the hope found in Jesus. The book is designed to make personal witnessing simple and accessible. It may be given to a friend, neighbor, coworker, loved one or someone encountered through community service.

All Things New will emphasize four areas:

  1. Pray Like Jesus: Spiritual Renewal
  2. Serve Like Jesus: Compassion and Healing Ministries
  3. Share Jesus: Proclamation and Reclamation
  4. Follow Jesus: Baptism and Discipleship

Pacific Press and the Adventist Book Center network are also making The Desire of Ages available in a variety of editions and formats for those who want to participate in the reading journey or share the book beyond the special 5-million-copy edition. Explore The Desire of Ages resources available at adventistbookcenter.com/desireofages.

The 5 million books are not simply a publishing goal. They represent 5 million opportunities to start a conversation, build a connection and share the hope of Christ.

Through this partnership, Pacific Press is grateful to support NAD’s historic All Things New initiative and looks forward to seeing how God will use these resources across North America.
