Payette Haircuts Create Gifts of Love Recently two young ladies in the Payette (Idaho) Church made sacrificial and enduring gifts of love when they had their long hair cut and donated to Locks of Love to make wigs for financially disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss. Chrisy Ingalls, a young mother, donated 14 inches of hair. She was inspired by an entire Boise girls baseball team donating members' hair to Locks of Love several years ago. At that time she began saving her hair, but when she talked about cutting her hair, she found she had a hit of a family conflict. Her husband, who met her when her hair as short, favored her. Her grandfather opposed her haircut. When her grandfather learned the reason for the haircut, he cut half of her hair, and her husband cut the other half Eight-year-old Carly Iwasa donated 12 inches of hair. She made her decision after seeing the before and after photos of recipients on the Locks of Love Web site, LocksofLove.org. Because of their willingness to give literally of themselves, these ladies made made a direct impact on more than just their hairlines—they made a difference for deserving kids.
