Are you ready to move out of your familiar surroundings and do some real missionary work for the Lord? Montana Conference has just the place for you!
Glasgow is a small, agricultural community of about 3,000 in the Missouri River country of northeastern Montana. Situated on the Milk River, Glasgow is the county seat of Valley County. Fort Peck Dam on the Missouri River is only 25 miles away and forms Fort Peck Lake, with 1,500 miles of shoreline and an abundance of fishing and water activities. Businesses in town support agriculture, sports and other areas of interest.
Glasgow has three levels of school—elementary, junior high and high school. The area has low rental rates and houses for sale are very reasonable. The cost of living in the county is quite affordable. Best of all, Glasgow is full of wonderful, hard-working people.
The Adventist church in Glasgow holds about 100 people and has facilities for all ages of Sabbath School classes. This lovely little church has four bathrooms, two showers, a new kitchen and facilities for bedrooms. The membership is officially 42, but there are very few attending. The average membership age is in the 70s and most of them live 10-35 miles outside of Glasgow. This makes witnessing difficult. We desperately need youthful ideas and energy to bring back our younger members and to spread God's message to our town. We need missionaries—folks to move here and take time to know the people and our community.
