The fourth annual Washington Women's Spring Day Event was held on April 13 at Grace Community Church in Auburn. More than 400 women were encouraged by the speakers to "Blossom in the Son."
In the morning, Lucille Ball gave principles and illustrations on how to deal with relationships. She said if followed, these principles lead to peace. Women can then become all that God wants them to be. Ball holds a doctorate in clinical psychology with an emphasis in individual and family psychology, as well as a master's in marital and family therapy. She has been a therapist for many years and is a forensic psychologist in southern California.
In the afternoon, Linda Dianne Crimes-Penick challenged us to keep Christ in our hearts, keep God as our guide, listen to the Holy Spirit and be transformed daily by the Transformer. She has been an education professional for more than 30 years and is the women's ministries director for the Pacific Union Conference. Her personal ministry, "Woman of Wholeness," was founded more than 12 years ago.
During the day, the women were also blessed by inspirational music, including song services and special music. A lunch break and afternoon dessert break provided time for the ladies to visit. Many had invited family members, friends or neighbors.
After the event, several women expressed that they had enjoyed the fellowship, the inspirational music and the encouragement and motivation from the speakers.
The next Washington Women's Spring Day Event will be held April 17, 2004, at Grace Community Church—a lovely facility with gracious, helpful hosts. This is a great opportunity to attend and invite someone to enjoy the day with you.
