Sabbath, Aug. 21, was a day of Rejoicing, Praise and Thanksgiving as SonRise Christian Fellowship had a day of worship at Cantrall Buckley Park, just outside of Jacksonville, Ore.
The day started off with worship and praise with music by Replica, sermon and potluck, but that was just the beginning. After potluck, everyone gathered at the river with Dan McCulloch and Randy Hill, both pastors, to bare witness to the decision of 11 men, women, and children as they gave their lives to Christ in the presence of their friends and family. They were followed by 10 others who chose to rededicate their lives and commitment to Christ by being re-baptized in the cold waters of the Applegate River.
After the baptisms, there was more music by the SonRise Praise Team, followed by Replica, as they closed the day of worship in the park with a concert. What a day of rejoicing it was, to witness God moving in the lives of so many.
