Elbert James is passionate about involving people in mission work.
A former member of the Emerald City Church in Seattle, James now lives in Florida and serves as a lay mission leader in the Gulf States Conference.
Many people—including several from Washington Conference—join James to minister in Chennai, a town in South India.
“We like to follow the methods that Jesus used in drawing people to Himself, and that is by mingling, meeting their needs and bidding them follow Him,” James said.
The team runs two-week evangelistic series, conducts Bible studies, distributes clothing, gives natural-remedy medical advice and nurtures new Christians for God’s Kingdom.
James first began his short-term mission service in 2000. Since then, James and his team have established relationships with many towns and villages and watched 13 church communities grow and develop.
The Access Unlimited Ministry team is preparing to return to Chennai once again, where this year they plan to build an orphanage.
