FOSTER — Ray Lyon, 87; born Sept. 5, 1934 in Los Angeles, California; died March 2, 2022 in Cottage Grove, Oregon. Surviving: daughters, Elizabeth Boram and Ruth Mundall; brothers, Glen and Gary; sister Lynda; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Dr. Ray Foster served the denomination as a missionary physician in the Trans Africa Division for 12 years. (His parents were missionaries so he spent many more years in Africa before becoming a career missionary himself).  He flew to African nations doing orthopedic surgery and managing a leprosy care organization (among other tasks).  He leased Riverside Farm Institute in Zambia, Africa to OCI and helped start that institution. He worked at Loma Linda Medical Center and at the Riverside Medical Clinic in Riverside California. He served in the Washington Conference and at Black Hills Health and Education Institute in his retirement.
