The Butte (Mont.) Church hosted their members and friends at a harvest dinner on Nov. 25. The Dillon, Whitehall, Anaconda and Deer Lodge churches were invited to come for fellowship and a delicious meal that was planned by the social committee. The event included special recipes submitted by Marty Tysko, professional chef, including the following:
Mix together:
1 1/2 cups ground pecans
1 cup soft bread crumbs
1 well-beaten egg
1/2 onion finely cut
4 tbsp finely cut parsley
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk
Chill at least two hours. Drop by heaping spoonfuls into hot olive oil in skillet and brown about five minutes on each side. Serve with hot sautéd mushroom sauce. For sauce: Make a medium white sauce. Sauté fresh mushrooms and add to sauce. Season with vegetarian seasoning.
