COLLIER — Ada Marie (Feaster), 83; born July 20, 1935, Akron, Ohio; died July 16, 2019, Vancouver, Washington. Surviving: husband, Everett, Portland, Oregon; son, Dean Collier, Lacombe, Alberta, Canada; daughters, Bonnie MacDougal, Canby, Oregon; Cindee Horsch and Gail Corn, both of Yacolt, Washington; sister, Anita Collver, McMinnville, Oregon; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Over their 67 years together, Ada and Everett's work and dreams have moved them from Battle Ground, Washington to Republic, Washington, to Coquille, Oregon, and finally building a home in Yacolt, where they lived the last 20+ years. Ada always made a lovely home wherever they lived. She loved reading, listening to music, doing crossword puzzles, mowing the lawn with her riding mower, folding laundry was an art, grinding wheat and making homemade bread. Ada found joy in homemaking, loving her family and always wanted to be surrounded by her family.

Several years ago, Ada was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. It was hard for her family to watch this strong capable woman become so confused and helpless. Her family stayed close to help Everett care for her. Most of the time she was still able to live at home with wonderful caregivers and her children and husband giving her tender loving care.

On July 16, 2019, her condition changed. Her family went to her side and played her favorite gospel music those last hours. Ada took her last breath, while being hugged by her daughter. May she rest in Jesus until He comes and she is resurrected, whole and healthy, and we can hug her and hold her again.
