The University Park Church (Portland, Ore.) recently added nine new members after NET 2003 meetings. Among them, Jesse Gonzales, a literature evangelist, with his wile, Georgina, from Vancouver, Wash., joined the church to reach the Spanish-speaking community. They are holding rapidly growing Spanish services in the fellowship hall.
The Community Services keeps growing too. Beginning at noon each Wednesday, the clothing bank provides 10 to 20 families with clothes to last for two months. On one recent Wednesday evening, the food bank served 71 families. Wednesday evenings also feature Bible studies with a growing number of baptismal candidates.
