Roundup Church RIDEs into the 4th of July

Finally, after the hail, the rain and the floods, there was a reason to celebrate in Roundup, Mont.

Every year the city celebrates the 4th of July with a big party called RIDE: or the Roundup Independence Day Extravaganza. This four-day event has kids' activities, concerts, rodeos (when there aren't floods), fireworks and parades. This was the 14th year of the RIDE celebration.

Our church decided to enter a float in the parade this year. The 2018 parade theme was "Roundup: Miracle on the Musselshell" ( the nearby river). So, with a little creative license, we decided our theme was "God's Miracle on the Musselshell" to highlight our Christian radio station. Our church is blessed to be have been gifted by Richard Thomas a low-power FM radio station, KQLJ, broadcasting at 105.5 FM. This station broadcasts the 3ABN (Three Angels Broadcasting Network) programming, as well as emergency broadcasts for the local area.

We also do a local radio show each Monday at 4 p.m. called "Let's Talk About That." This local show is currently leading a Bible study provided by It Is Written. And thanks to modern technology, we also stream the show on the radio's Facebook Live page.

With the logo on the float, "Feelin' Adrift?" along with the radio call sign, we hope both will point people to God and His radio station in Roundup, the true "Miracle on the Musselshell." We also hoped the float would help people think about attending our depression seminar that began on July 21. Because without God, you surely are "adrift."
