Adventist Community App Webinars Launching Soon

By NW Adventists Team, August 18, 2025

In September 2025, the Adventist Community app team is hosting a three-part, hands-on webinar series designed to help you get the most out of this powerful communication tool.

Since its recent launch, nearly 800 first adopters have signed in to the Adventist Community app, which is powered by Vobo. Washington, Oregon and Idaho conferences each integrated their camp meeting information and their ministry connections into their app experience. The Adventist Community app provides comprehensive on-the-go community engagement in a secure, closed environment.

Whether you are brand new to the platform or ready to explore its most advanced features, there’s a training webinar session for you.

  • Sept. 2 — Getting Started: New to the app? Learn the basics and discover how this platform can help your local church or school share news, events and inspiration more effectively.
  • Sept. 9 — Tools and Best Practices: Dive into essential tools and proven strategies for presenting information in ways that engage your audience.
  • Sept. 16 — Advanced Features and Engagement: Unlock the full potential of the app with advanced tools and creative ideas to inspire deeper connection in your faith community.

All sessions take place on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. (Pacific) and last about an hour, with plenty of time for Q&A so you can get your specific questions answered.

“The Adventist Community app offers a simple, secure way to share news, events and inspiration, and this training will help leaders maximize the app's potential for ministry impact,” said Heidi Baumgartner, North Pacific Union communication director. “This training series will help you understand how to use this app to complement and amplify your ministry website for community building.”

Who should attend? Pastors, church secretaries, school office managers and ministry communicators — anyone looking to strengthen their communication and community engagement.

The Gleaner is a gathering place with news and inspiration for Seventh-day Adventist members and friends throughout the northwestern United States. It is an important communication channel for the North Pacific Union Conference — the regional church support headquarters for Adventist ministry throughout Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. The original printed Gleaner was first published in 1906, and has since expanded to a full magazine with a monthly circulation of more than 40,000. Through its extended online and social media presence, the Gleaner also provides valuable content and connections for interested individuals around the world.
