Clark Fork Church Gets Revitalized

Rain has been no stranger to Clark Fork, Idaho, this year. After a wet and cool spring, we determined it was time to replace our original metal roof on our church. Our planned repair date got rained out! We finally were able to start our project on Sunday, June 28, 2020.

With the help of seven volunteers from our sister church, Bonners Ferry, our work crew was led by Jerry Davis, and we had an additional nine or 10 workers from our Clark Fork congregation. Several other church members supplied a well-received lunch.

In the last two hours of work, an amazing storm moved over the mountain toward us. As we worked, we prayed that God would allow us to finish the work on at least the first side of the roof. Miraculously, the storm poured rain on houses across the street but only dribbled rain on us, allowing us to finish that side. Everyone “toughed it out” despite the roof being wet for the last 45 minutes of work. The other half of the roof was completed on July 12.
