Sky Valley Students Excited to Serve

By Crysti Wallace, May 03, 2018

The last Friday of every month, students at Sky Valley Adventist School in Monroe, Wash., come together to make 60 lunches for Take the Next Step, a local organization that offers assistance to low-income families by providing them with food, clothes, gas cards and other basic necessities.

Sky Valley Adventist School has been participating in this service project for two years, and it is one of the students' favorite activities. Food for the lunches has been graciously donated by school families and volunteers.

While the students do not deliver the meals directly to the families, they always write encouraging cards and pray over the lunches before they’re taken by a volunteer.

This project gives students the opportunity to share Jesus’ love in a practical way, and they are always enthusiastic to do so.
