The women of the Port Angeles Church have a women's ministry called "The Circle of Friends." Mae Gagnon, a long-time church member, and Marla LaPorte have been the inspiration for the group. All the women and girls of the church who come are encouraged to bring friends as an outreach in this friendship group.
There have been picnics and theme parties, many of which have spiritual emphasis. Recently a garden party took place with decorations of garden flowers. They served baked potatos with all the trimmings, and the table mats were a baked potato with roving eyes. Everyone dressed in garden work clothes, and the entertainment was songs and skits.
The sisters grow closer as they fellowship together with love, laughter and fun. And through the year they are each delighted with gifts from a secret sister.
