The Monroe (Wash.) Church enjoyed an interactive Easter Program. Lenard Jaecks, a retired minister, wrote and directed the Easter story with many members involved in portraying the events that led to the resurrection. Brenda Maldonado narrated the story as the scenes unfolded on stage interwoven with music.
The cast consisted of members from two months of age to more than 70 years. From make-up artists to sound equipment technicians, the program was a success because of so many willing participants who, by giving of themselves, received a blessing.
Mike Maldonado, pastor, closed the service with a brief message encouraging everyone to keep the cross as their central focus.
