Far North Camp Meeting Nearly 150 Adventists made their annual camp meeting trek from relatively nearby interior Alaska towns to Harding Lake Campground a few miles southeast of North Pole, Alaska, to enjoy a weekend with a Sabbath of approximately 22 hours of sunshine, shared friendship and food, and the spoken word. From the bright red and yellow meeting tent emanated the smell of citronella candles to ward off the mosquitoes, the sounds of singing and the voices of Bible characters such as Joseph and Paul’s scribe, Tertius, enacted with stage props and full costume by Jere Wallack from Adventist Communication Network as part of his series, "Victors via Grace." Following Sabbath potluck, the crowd gathered around the edge of the lake to witness the baptisms of Sigorney Moore and Aurora Tully, two students of Golden Heart Christian School, the Adventist school in Fairbanks.
