KATU Everyday Heroes - Adventist Health employees come together to help a patient

August 28, 2014

When Alina Tudor, a nurse care manager at Adventist Medical Center (AMC) in Portland, Ore., met with a patient named Margaret, she discovered a need beyond typical medical care. Margaret found it impossible to navigate the steps to her home without help. She needed a ramp to her front door. Alina began brainstorming with Don Ingram, AMC engineer for clinics. They connected with Ben Raines, a local Home Depot assistant manager, who offered the necessary materials. They helped form a team of volunteers that became the latest installment in an Everyday Heroes segment on KATU TV in Portland.
