Nelson Named AAA Principal

By Enoc Garcia, March 28, 2025

Auburn Adventist Academy has announced the appointment of Marc Nelson as principal for the 2025–2026 academic year, marking an exciting milestone in AAA's journey of Christ-centered education.

Nelson joins AAA with an impressive background in Adventist and career-focused education. He is completing his Ph.D. in educational leadership at Andrews University and brings significant leadership experience. His previous roles include Maxwell Adventist Academy principal and business manager, Battle Creek Academy interim principal, and Michigan public school high school teacher and department head.

Michelle Wachter, Washington Conference vice president for education and AAA interim principal, expressed enthusiasm for Nelson’s leadership. “Nelson is a dedicated leader who embodies servant leadership with integrity and grace," Wachter said. "His extensive experience in guiding Adventist school communities, combined with his passion for Christ-based education, will be a tremendous asset to AAA.”

As Nelson assumes his new role, Wachter reflected on her year as interim principal: “It has been a blessing to serve AAA during this transition. I am confident Nelson's vision and commitment will lead AAA into a bright future. While I return to my full-time role at Washington Conference, I will continue to pray for and support this wonderful school.”

Nelson’s appointment ushers in a new chapter for AAA, promising continued excellence in its mission to provide faith-based education.
