Outreach Ministry Leaders Network at CCDA

By Floyd Marshall, November 02, 2023

Adventist representatives from Outreach Ministries for North American Division, North Pacific Union and Washington Conference networked and learned recently at the Christian Community Development Association's annual conference.

The conference, held Oct. 4–7, 2023 in Cincinnati, Ohio, looked at the theme "Love and truth meet in the street: Right living and whole living embrace."

The workshops aimed to strengthen Christian Community Development practitioners for community transformation. Participants were enlightened as to how they can embrace love, truth, righteousness and peace.

Five of the Adventist participants connected with local churches in the Cincinnati area to serve as guest speakers. Shiloh Church then hosted an afternoon brainstorming and planning session on "rethinking ministry to the cities."

Continuing education opportunities, like CCDA's annual conference, provide good stimulation for creative thinking and finding new ideas for effectively reaching communities for Jesus.
