Outdoor School Students Enjoy MEA

The gym was buzzing with laughter and sounds of excitement as the fifth and sixth graders from around Montana were preparing to have recreational time with some Mount Ellis Academy (MEA) students.

The elementary kids were in Bozeman, Mont., for their outdoor school. Due to inclement weather, they were unable to play games outside. A group of Mount Ellis Academy (MEA) students volunteered to help put on some game nights for them.

Tuesday night was full of different types of tag games, from blob tag to line tag and sharks and minnows. Tuesday night was capped off with “The Red Ball Game," which quickly became a favorite and was played again on Wednesday night, by request. Wednesday night was ultimate dodgeball, with obstacles set up and the lights dimmed. It was game on.

The two nights provided MEA students with the opportunity to make positive connections with younger students who we hope will be at MEA in the future.
