“I want my husband to live longer!” was the response from the wife of one of my patients. “I was so excited about the movie Forks Over Knives that I went on their website and purchased the DVD and a whole box of books!” This was one of the many enthusiastic responses to the movie that has enlightened, inspired and motivated thousands to a healthier lifestyle. To share the message of a better way of living, the Enterprise Church sponsored two showings of Forks Over Knives in the local theater free of charge to the public.
There were a total of 120 people who came to the two showings. As a follow-up to the movie, a Vegetarian Tasting Extravaganza was scheduled for the next week. This provided an opportunity to experience how pleasant a plant-based diet can taste. Our next month's follow-up will be a cooking school.
“The Lord would have His people stand out from the customs and practices of the world. Still greater truths are unfolding for this people as they near the end of time, and God designs that those who see the light and believe the truth of the third angel's message shall establish institutions where those who are in darkness in regard to the needs of the human organism may be educated, that they may in their turn lead others into the light of health reform. The blind leaders of the blind must learn the truth of healthful living as taught in the Scriptures” (Manuscript Releases Volume Twenty, p. 249). The health message is part of the end-time message we are to share with this world.
