Thomsen Ordained at Idaho Conference Camp Meeting

Anthony Thomsen, pastor of The Experience in Meridian, Idaho, was ordained on Sabbath, June 18, at the Idaho Conference Camp Meeting in Caldwell, Idaho. Thomsen was previously the pastor of the Salmon and Wood River Valley (Hailey), Idaho, churches before coming to The Experience in November 2010. He began his ministry in 1997 in the Georgia-Cumberland Conference. He also serves as the chaplain for Barefoot Media Ministry (radio stations KTSY, KTFY, KTSJ).

He and his wife, Elizabeth, have three children: Tyler, Seth and Grace. A large contingent of members of The Experience was on hand to witness the ordination. Steve McPherson, former conference president presented the homily. The King's Heralds quartet presented an a cappella song titled "Give Me a Vision."

Members of The Experience will have to move quickly to keep up with their newly ordained pastor, who enjoys preparing for triathlons, as well as camping with family and spending time with friends.
