Pend Oreille Students Give The Gift

Thirteen Pend Oreille Valley Adventist School students plus guest performers, Kaleigh Bell and Alex Nichols, recently provided their constituents with an awesome Christmas program entitled "The Gift."

Each student presented a wrapped gift, explained its value, and then placed it at the foot of a wooden cross. A variety of musical presentations included a handbell choir, piano solos, a voice choir, ladies trio, guitar trio, and a piano duet. Unique to the program was a piano quartet and a scripture-reciting choir which included the whole student body. Tyler Hart, who just started voice lessons, sang "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen."

The program ended on a high note with two students, Makayla Boell and Jessica Smith, being baptized by Ron Fleck, Newport (Wash.) Church pastor. Shirley Stephenson, a local member, had the pleasure of studying with the girls. Dayve Lounsberry, Spirit Lake (Wash.) pastor, had also been an influence in their lives. A special thanks was given to Ginger Brockman and Tricia Hendrickson, volunteers, who assisted teachers Jeff and Melissa Wallen with the program preparation.
