Martin Emslie Retires Pocatello and Idaho Falls Churches Say Goodbye

A farewell party was held at the Pocatello Church on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, for Martin and Dianne Emslie. During vespers, members shared memories from the past seven years.

After 30 years in the ministry, Martin Emslie is retiring. He began his ministerial career by working for the ABC for 13 years. In 1989, he transferred to the Rocky Mountain Conference and was a pastor there for 10 years before coming to the Idaho Conference. Both Martin and Dianne Emslie ministered to the Pocatello and Idaho Falls churches for the past seven years.

The Emslies will be moving to Salt Lake City, Utah, where Dianne will be a nanny for her daughter and son-in-law’s growing family. Martin will be leaving in November for Haiti where he will join his son-in-law and daughter, Greg and Tawnya Constantino, on a mission trip to an orphanage in Haiti.

We will miss them and wish them well as they follow God’s leading.
