Ready to Help Arlington Assists in Flood Control

The Arlington Adventist Disaster Response team jumped into action on Jan. 27 after receiving a call for volunteers from the Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management.

A large amount of rain caused flooding on the north fork of the Stillaguamish River and triggered a massive landslide near Oso, Wash.

Adventist volunteers, in addition to the Corp of Engineers, Snohomish County Engineers, and other volunteers, filled and delivered sand bags to locations all along the river to contain the rising water.
