Emerald City Community Church singles presented their first annual Fellowship Day celebration in October. Singles' leader Zhalena Slaughter wants to see all singles in the Northwest get connected, inspired, and encouraged.
Eugene Lewis, Emerald's senior pastor, used Jeremiah 29:11 as the Scripture focus to inspire the singles in attendance. Latter Rain, a men's a capella group, provided special music. Various workshops were available for both singles and single parents. Message magazine contributed to this event by supplying free subscriptions.
