Santellano to Lead Alumni and Parent Relations

By Kim Strobel, June 29, 2017

Claudia Santellano, the new Walla Walla University (WWU) alumni and parent relations director, is no stranger to the WWU campus. Santellano completed a bachelor’s degree in business administration at WWU in 2014 and was executive assistant to the vice president for academic administration from 2007 to 2017. She previously worked as a paralegal in Silicon Valley.

“I’m looking forward to interacting with alumni — people who made this their home during a critical point in their lives when they were transitioning into becoming responsible adults,” says Santellano. “I enjoy listening to their stories and being a resource for them and for interactions with parents of current students.

“I want alumni to feel connected to the university, to continue to feel proud that they attended here, to feel like they continue to belong to this family, and that together we are working to advance God’s mission and His work,” she says.

Santellano is married and has two children. She and her family enjoy the close-knit community they have found in the Walla Walla Valley and the opportunities for outdoor activities and family life.
