It’s a new year, spring is underway, and Sabbath Keepers Motorcycle Ministries (SKMM) members are already active with rides and events.
SKMM members from the Northwest, Puget Sound and Columbia River chapters came out to Monroe, Wash., fair grounds on March 21 to set up a booth and have wonderful visits and prayer with swap meet enthusiasts. Lots of books were given out, and children happily took prizes and books home. The following Sabbath, March 28, Puget Sound brought the second annual Church Visit back to Edmonds Church with a meaningful message and managed the potluck lunch that followed the program with the help church family members. Bill Lusk, Puget Sound Chapter president, went through a whole bag of balloons while twisting up motorcycles, swords and special flowers for many of the children. The children also had an opportunity to climb on some motorcycles for photos.
Puget Sound Chapter teamed up with Northwest Washington Chapter on Sunday, March 29, for the 22nd Annual Greater Northwest HOG (Harley Owners Group) Bunny Run. A wonderful time was had by all on this run decorating the bikes for the kids, streaming 93 bikes to Housing of Hope in Everett with the donations, talking with the kids and their parents, making motorcycle balloons for them, and riding back to Lynnwood for the Emerald City Harley BBQ lunch. A whole trailer full of baby diapers, wipes and other needs was unloaded Housing of Hope, along with more than $700 in wrapped quarters for the parents to use in the coin-operated laundry facility. It was another great run for a great cause.

Remember, you don’t need a motorcycle to join Sabbath Keepers — just a commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to minister outside the church.
