Beloved Teacher Dies

Olin Peach, former teacher at Upper Columbia Academy, died on April 9, 2010. He was involved in a snowmobile accident on his property in Oregon.

A beloved teacher and friend, Mr. Peach had an unrivaled passion for life, Adventist education, outdoor sports, missions and, most of all, the Savior. He began teaching at UCA in 1963 and continued into his retirement years.

Hundreds of youth throughout the Northwest and the world were impacted by the 35-plus mission trips led by Mr. Peach. He and they crossed more than 350 borders, with Mexico and Borneo being high on the list. A statement from Upper Columbia Academy shares the sentiments of many: “There are no words which can start to capture the ways that Mr. Peach allowed Jesus to work through him. He will be sorely missed.”
