Shady Point Church Finds A Refreshing Way To Share the Good News

For their July outreach activity the Shady Point Church provided a refreshing service for spectators at the Independence Day parade in Eagle Point, Ore. Bill Lynch’s pickup was part of the parade, decorated in red, white and blue and filled with over 1,000 bottles of water. Lynch drove while six volunteers handed out water to the people lining the parade route. Each water bottle was labeled with the church name and a Bible verse about the "Water of Life." There can be no doubt that it was one of the most popular entries in the parade—many didn’t even wait for the water to come to them; instead they came out and grabbed it from the truck themselves! This was reported on the Channel 10 evening news that day! And before the parade even started, parade officials awarded a third-prize ribbon in appreciation for the water on a hot day. May they be as eager for the Water of Life!
