Members of the men's ministry at the Spokane Central Church were inspired to invite their church neighbors to a fellowship dinner last December.
The outreach provided an opportunity for a core group of about 10 men's ministry members to reach out and touch the lives of approximately 70 visitors. Central Church members prepared a vegetarian meal, while other men's ministry members and their wives served their guests. A short musical program followed the meal, and gifts were presented to the children.
The men's ministry started two years ago with occasional Sunday morning breakfasts with guest speakers. Currently the men's breakfast is held monthly, with an average attendance of about 35 men. The breakfast provides a social and spiritual time for the men. Because of its blessing, the men are looking for more opportunities where they can be a blessing to others.
