New Church Opens in Vancouver, Washington

The Vancouver Church celebrated its grand opening on Feb. 26, 2005. Community members were invited to attend, and so many did that the temporary sanctuary was filled to overflowing. People had to be seated in the Fireside Chapel where the service was transmitted to them via a television link-up.

Al Reimche, Oregon Conference vice president for administration, was present to offer his congratulations. He told the visitors about some of the obstacles which were prayerfully overcome as church members worked toward the opening of their beautiful new church.

The service began by presenting framed sketches of the church to some of the contractors who played significant roles in the church-building project. The presentations were made by V. J. Puccinelli, former pastor and building committee member, and Elmer Armstrong, building committee member.

While the new Vancouver Church is not yet completed (The main sanctuary and balcony area are not yet finished.), the members are confident that God will provide them the necessary funding to conclude this church-building project for the glory of God.
