Adventists Host Health Booth at County Fair

In Klickitat County, Wash., everybody goes to the county fair, including the people of the local Adventist church, which hosts a booth each year. This year they featured posters and literature on obesity and eating disorders. Balloons of fruits caught fairgoers eyes and encouraged them to eat more healthfully. “Mr. Thrifty Skeleton” posed in front of a picture of the local cemetery with “Smokers Reward” superimposed on the picture. Fair-goers also completed community health surveys and heard about various classes on health.
