Sandra Whitney
Sandra Whitney, Women’s Ministry Leader for the Sequim, WA Seventh-Day Adventist Church passed to her rest in Jesus January 25, 2026 after a fall resulting in a brain stem bleed. She was a retired SDA teacher, teaching at Chico Oaks Adventist and Feather River Adventist School’s. She also taught at the School for the Hearing Impaired in Oroville, CA. She touched the lives of hundreds of students with her enthusiasm for learning, making learning fun, and especially her love for Jesus. She was the wife of James Marvin Whitney retired pastor and educator. She was known as an encourager. Everyone she met felt valued and appreciated. Sandi knew without a shadow of doubt that heaven with Jesus was her real home.

Surviving: spouse, James Marvin Whitney; son, Gary Perkins; daughters, Annette (Perkins) Green and Julie Atkinson; step-daughters, Lonna (Whitney) Major and Carrie (Whitney) Garcia; sisters, Lori Lind and Tracy (Lind) Meyer; 9 grandchildren.
