Shirley's parents were Fred and Bessie Lucille (Landis) Brane.

She married Griffith L. Thomas on Aug. 26, 1956 in Walla Walla, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Michael Meelhuysen; two sisters, two stepbrothers and two stepsisters.
