Surviving: wife, Carol (Combs) of 42 years; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Cotie and Jeff Pacuska, Jefferson, Mass.; brother, Michael Cotie, Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada; sister, Elaine (Cotie) Thurnhofer, Renton, Wash.; and a granddaughter, Madigan Pacuska, Jefferson, Mass.

Dr. Cotie was a general surgeon who served the needs of the local community through private practice as well as interim on-call coverage in neighboring communities and the local prison.
