Surviving: wife of 65 years, Leila (Pine); sons, David II, Portland, Ore.; son and daughter-in-law, Dana and Robin, Tidewater, Ore.; daughter, Jolie Salsbery, Salem; brother, Richard, Gaston, Ore.; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

His son Timothy preceded him in death.
