DUDAR — Peter Donovan, 92; born July 7, 1923, Two Hills, Alberta, Canada; died Jan. 22, 2016. Surviving: wife, Rosamond E. Dudar; sons, Peter Jr., Gary and Brian; and 2 grandchildren.

Peter Donovan Dudar, M.D., after living a long interesting life, passed to his rest Jan. 22, 2016. He is survived by the mother of his three children, Rosamond E Dudar, M.D., and his three sons, Peter Jr., Gary and Brian.

He was born, the seventh child of 10, to immigrants from the Ukraine. His father, Petro, died when he was 10 and Peter had to drop out of school to work the farm. As a young man he worked in a tin-toy factory, and a taxi driver before returning to school at Canadian Union College where he finished elementary and high school. Peter continued his education at Walla Walla College, and graduated from La Sierra College in 1957. He continued to pursue his education at Loma Linda University, graduating from the School of Medicine in 1961.

His legacy will continue in his three children, Peter Donovan Jr., Gary Alan (LLUSD 1986), Brian Wesley (LLUSD 2003), and his grandchildren Kristopher (1995–2015), Brandon and Erika. As all of us do, he now awaits that trumpet call home.
