Bud and Midge Dubay celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on July 3, 2022.
Kenneth "Bud" Lester Dubay and Scharlotte "Midge" Mae Donaca were married on July 3, 1947, in Gold Beach, Oregon, having first met in April of 1946.
Bud, a veteran from World War II, worked as a logger for 40 years, and served as a volunteer firefighter and paramedic. He also worked as a fishing guide on the Rogue River throughout his life.
Midge worked in motels and homes in the community doing house cleaning and did babysitting in the winter months.
Upon retirement they spent 21 years working with Maranatha Volunteers International throughout Canada, Mexico and the United States, helping to build over 75 churches and schools. They have enjoyed countless camping trips throughout Southern Oregon, and Bud enjoys getting out on the Rogue River fishing as many days of the week as possible.
They currently reside in Wedderburn, Oregon, where they have live for the entirety of their marriage.
The Dubay family includes sons Charles and Ronald (both deceased); 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
