Carr Accepts Washington Conference VP Role

Craig Carr has accepted the invitation of the Washington Conference executive committee to serve as the new conference vice president of administration. He will fill the position left vacant when Doug Bing became Washington Conference president.

Carr is currently the Rocky Mountain Conference ministerial director, based in Denver, Colo. He has a degree in business with a business management and human resources emphasis and has completed a doctoral degree from Denver Seminary. Prior to serving as the conference ministerial director, he was the pastor of churches in several areas, including Boulder, Colo.

Carr wife, Carisa, has a master’s degree in education and is a certified academic language therapist and literacy intervention specialist.

The Carrs are the parents of Cassandra who is preparing to enter college and Christian, an academy junior this fall.

The Gleaner is a gathering place with news and inspiration for Seventh-day Adventist members and friends throughout the northwestern United States. It is an important communication channel for the North Pacific Union Conference — the regional church support headquarters for Adventist ministry throughout Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. The original printed Gleaner was first published in 1906, and has since expanded to a full magazine with a monthly circulation of more than 40,000. Through its extended online and social media presence, the Gleaner also provides valuable content and connections for interested individuals around the world.
