Keith Duane Torrey

TORREY — Keith Duane, 83; born Aug. 10, 1931, Sumner, Wash.; died March 14, 2015, Puyallup, Wash. Surviving: sons, Jack, Westport, Wash.; Gerald, Tacoma, Wash.; daughters, Connie Renee Spainhower, Carmichael, Calif.; Susan Kitts, Eatonville, Wash.; 9 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Born in 1931, he was the son of William and Ivy (Caster) Torrey. He married Lucy Lee O’Dell in 1951.

Keith worked for Pasquier Panel Products for 38 years retiring in 1995. He was a prominent member of the Seventh-day Adventist church and is best remembered for his stories, mountain climbing, love of nature, metal detecting adventures and unique gadgets.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy, in 2013.
