Young adults from the greater Portland-Vancouver area and beyond gathered at the Sunnyside Church in Portland, Ore., on Sabbath, Feb. 7, for this year’s North Pacific Union Conference Young Adult Day of Worship. Seth Pierce, pastor of the Puyallup Church in Puyallup, Wash., (and Gleaner columnist), was the featured guest speaker for the Sabbath morning service. A musical team from Walla Walla University led the multi-generational congregation in praise and worship music. Coordinated by Tracy Wood, Oregon Conference youth director in collaboration with NPUC youth director, Alphonso McCarthy, the event also featured an afternoon roundtable discussion, led by Pierce.

A young adult choir, Vivace, directed by Lisa Riffel, provided two songs during the morning worship service.
