Seventeen years ago, young vivacious Jacqueline Moseley joined the Bonanza (Ore.) Pathfinder Club. She was a bundle of energy. She had a giggle that caused everyone else to join in. She was eager to learn.
When she was old enough, she joined the Teen Leadership Training program of the Oregon Conference. Moseley was the first of two young people to graduate from the TLT program.
She continued to work in her club on a leadership basis and soon became a deputy director.
Then her life took an intriguing twist. In December of 2007, she fell in love with Brian McRae, a man who was not of her faith. With characteristic determination, Moseley set out to share her faith with McRae. She invited him to church and to her beloved Pathfinder Club. Soon they were taking Bible studies and arrived at a decision for baptism. They wanted to be baptized at their home church in Bonanza, but there was a major problem—the church did not have a baptistery.
The elders and deacons had a meeting and decided to purchase a holding tank. With the problem solved, Brian and Jacqueline were baptized by Glenn Gingery, pastor, on April 20, 2008. On the following day, they were married by Gingery.
Now, they both work together with the Bonanza Pathfinder Club. When they lost their infant son by premature birth early in 2009, they were heartbroken, but not discouraged. They are eagerly awaiting the coming of Jesus when little Manoah will be placed in their arms. In the meantime, they continue encouraging Bonanza youth to live for Jesus and to look forward to His return.
