James Albert Andregg

ANDREGG — James Albert, 88; born May 31, 1929, Eagle, Idaho; died Sept. 25, 2017, Boise VA Medical Center, Boise, Idaho. Surviving: sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Debbie Witt, Caldwell, Idaho; Kelly and Marilyn Witt, Caldwell; son, John Andregg, Emmett, Idaho; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna (Andregg) and Ted Hessel, Caldwell; Carolyn (Andregg) and Brent Beardsley, Bozeman, Mont.; brother, Dan, Boise; sister, Esther McClusky, Loveland, Colo.; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

James Albert Andregg, of Emmett, passed away September 25, 2017 at the Boise VA Medical Center at the age of 88. Jim was born May 31, 1929, to Violet and Herman Andregg at the family homestead on Dry Creek, Eagle, Idaho. He was the youngest of 10 children. Raised on a farm, he took up trucking at an early age with his brother John. He served in the Air Force and loved to fly. He logged the timber in the Boise area, the Russian River (California) and Alaska. He was an inventor and fabricator, including the thermostatically controlled heated windshield wiper. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Jim was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in May 2017. He fought hard to beat the disease and had a strong will to live. In the end, Jim looked forward to meeting his Lord. Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers Herman, John, Paul, David and sisters Ruth, Louise, Mary, and one daughter, Susan. He is survived by his brother Dan and sister Esther; children Jack, Kelly, Donna, John and Carolyn; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
