Upper Columbia Elects New Treasurer

By Steve Vistaunet, Mayo 23, 2019

Allee Currier has accepted the invitation of the Upper Columbia Conference (UCC) executive committee and nominating committee to become the organization's next vice president for finance. Currier, who has served as North Pacific Union Conference Association treasurer since 2016, will fill the UCC position vacant since the departure of David Freedman to the Southern Union in February. She hopes to make a full transition to the new role sometime this summer. More information is available from the following information posted May 23 on the Upper Columbia Conference website.

Upper Columbia Conference of Seventh-day Adventists is pleased to welcome Alice "Allee" J. Currier to serve as the next vice president for finance. Wednesday, May 22, 2019, the conference nominating and executive committees met and voted to extend a call to Allee which she subsequently accepted.

"I am so grateful to have Allee joining our administrative team here at Upper Columbia Conference," said Minner Labrador Jr., conference president. "Her heart for mission and God's people will be a blessing as we continue to equip and empower ministries that reach our communities with the Christ-centered Seventh-day Adventist message of hope and wholeness."

In addition to a deep passion for ministry, Allee brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She has owned and served as accountant for two family-run businesses. Her church experience includes several accounting roles at the Oregon Conference as well as the North Pacific Union Conference (NPUC). She most recently served as the association treasurer for the NPUC.

Allee said, "While this new role will certainly take me out of my comfort zone, it is an opportunity to grow and learn. I am excited about the team I will be working with."

Allee enjoys adventure and learning. She is mom to two talented children and grandma to two beautiful grandchildren.
