Introducing Victory Rap

By Reneé Dull, Enero 01, 2014

“'For I know the plans I have for you,' says the Lord. 'They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope'" (Jer. 29:11).

Victory Rap Mission Statement

“Striving to revive women who have been living as victims of abuse and provide biblical tools to walk in victory rather than being a casualty to the abuse. As the enemy seeks to not only keep us in bondage to our past, but to devour us, Victory Rap seeks to renew a God centered and confident heart based on the truth of God’s Word, on forgiveness and through a new hope in Christ Jesus.”

Hi, I’m Reneé, and as so many others, I’ve had various forms of abuse in my past. But thanks to our heavenly Father, it is just that … the past. He has replaced those things with beautiful God moments where He has restored my heart and mind and brought healing into my life. God has shown Himself faithful. He’s understood when I was angry and cried with me when I didn’t think the tears would ever stop. He gave me strength to stand, picked me up when I’ve fallen and showed His undeniable love for me through it all.

Sadly, there are so many people who are living under the ruse that because of their past, life is as good as it gets, all the while living bound to it. What we seem to lose sight of is that, despite the evil in this messed up world, Satan has lost the war and, through Jesus Christ, we have the key to winning these battles.

It's only because of what God has done in my life that it’s time to move on in a different way and share what God is not only capable of doing but aching to do in the lives of so many others as well.

I may not have the licenses, certifications or degrees, but He has given me a testimony of His unfailing love and grace. It’s through that testimony and experience that now I have a gut-wrenching passion to see other women walk in victory over those things Satan has used to try and destroy us. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to let Satan have any more victories. He may have stolen the past, but he can’t have the future. The victory over these things is ours to claim, and through Christ Jesus we have the choice.

Victory Rap is available to all women within the church, as well as reaching out to the community. And while Victory Rap doesn’t provide counseling and is no way to be used as a substitute for any professional help deemed necessary, it provides a safe place to come and get support, be uplifted and encouraged, as well as gain tools and insights by studying God’s Word as we go through our journey. Just to name a few topics we’re tackling in Scripture: Where was God? (free will); Satan … the ultimate abuser; Shining Armor (Ephesians 6); Who am I? (Psalm 139); Forgiveness — what it is and isn’t; and Letting Go.

I trust you will keep Victory Rap in your prayers as we continually seek God’s wisdom and direction for this beautiful new ministry.

All are invited to come out and join us … Victory Rap meets every Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in the Woodland Church, 1300 Atlantic Ave., Woodland, WA 98674 (behind the church in the Community Center).

For further information, email VictoryRap@yahoo.com. You may also be in touch with me through the Woodland Church or by mailing Reneé Dull, P.O. Box 634, Woodland, WA 98674.
